They added that some fruits have a lot of carbohydrates in them and when you do the juicing, you’ve broken down those fruits and made them very easy to consume large quantities of that food and those calories very quickly. You can end up consuming a lot more calories and carbohydrates that what you anticipated.

On one hand, UCLA Center for Human Nutrition experts considered juicing as a fasting diet, so what you end up doing due to calorie deficit is you lose both muscle and fat, which is not good for you because your metabolism will slow and you’ll regain the weight afterwards. Moreover, when you juice fasting, you are not really fasting, but you are just consuming too low of calories.

In a nutshell, there’s an easy way to solve the problem. Balance diet is the key. If you love healthy juices and you simply take protein shake and some fruit juice into it to give it some flavor, you’re going to get the phytonutrients, vitamins and minerals that are in the juice along with your protein.
